Our cottage is named after our first Staffie, Mable Agnes. She was a rescue from Battersea Dogs Home in London and lived to be around 14 years of age. As a member of the family she came on every holiday with us and, when we bought number 1 Sheader, we thought it would be a fitting tribute to name the cottage in her memory.
All of our dogs have been rescues. Above from L to R are Monty, Sweetie and Foster. We lost Foster at the tremendous age of 20. He used to love lying under the hydrangea bush outside the front door at Mable's. We've named the barn in his memory. The rose to the right of the front gate is Mable & Foster's rose. They were truly great friends.
