As we resume trading in the wake of COVID-19, we would like to make you aware of the following ammendments to our services and terms of trading.
In order to ensure your safety while staying at Mable's Cottage Skye, an enhanced cleaning and disinfecting programme has been initiated which requires more time to complete between change overs.
With effect from 15th July 2020 Check in will now be anytime from 6:30 PM while departure on your final day is required by 9 AM
After cleaning Mable’s Cottage, we will fog the premises with disinfectant before leaving.
All duvets, mattress protectors and pillows are changed prior to your stay.
We supply hand sanitisers, liquid soap and cleaning materials for your use but would ask that you bring your own supplies of hand sanitiser too. We aim to leave a supply of disposable gloves and would ask that only use what you need and leave the box for the next guests.
We would ask, before you leave, to kindly strip the used bed linen and place it in the bag provided in each bedroom and leave the bag in the utility room. Likewise, please place used towels in the bag in the bathroom and leave in the utility room. These items will be left in isolation for up to 72 hours to allow any possible traces of virus to dissipate.
We usually ask for your balance ten weeks prior to your stay however, with the uncertainty of COVID-19, we feel it is fairer to ask you to pay ten days prior to your stay for the following reasons:
If you or anyone in your household displays symptoms of COVID-19 during to 14 days prior to your stay, they are required to self-isolate for at least 7 days and seek a Coronavirus test. Everyone in the household should isolate for 14 days. In accordance with government guidelines we would ask you not to travel. If the test is negative, everyone can end isolation. If the test is positive, everyone should continue to isolate, and the NHS Test and Protect team will be in touch to start contact tracing. Those contacted through the Test and Protect programme will be required to self-isolate for at least 14 days. Should this situation arise, we will happily hold your deposit against a future booking at a mutually agreeable date. Should this not be acceptable to you we will only refund your deposit if we are able to re-book your dates.
